Building Advertisments

There is a certain romance around old advertisments painted on buildings. We often forget that at one time those ads were vibrant and whole. The temptation to view the current image as what was always there is a product of idealizing the moment. The old ads are intended to make you picture a quiet, rustic place, where life is slow and things are easy. That time never existed. Things were always happening. People were buying and selling and doing. The old ads are just sign posts of a world we have forgotten.
